Angkor Wat

The Russian drinking tequila at the night market described Seam Reap as 'Las Vegas' when compared to his visit 7 years earlier.  As the tourist mecca nearest to the temples of Angkor, it certainly was bustling and very full of tuk tuks.  I found that carrying around a can of Bird's Nest soda (disgusting FYI) a handy deflection for the very aggressive drivers.

"Tuk tuk?"

"Bird's nest?"

The driver would then look perplexed.  "Would you like a tuk tuk?"

"Would you like some Bird's Nest?" I replied, proffering my half empty can.  The risk of being splashed with or otherwise exposed to said beverage proved adequate incentive for tuk tuk drivers to substantially shorten their usual half-block long, unsolicited sales pitch.

The temples themselves aren't done justice by words or photos, except to say that the site is absolutely immense.  In fact, on our first day mountain biking around the grounds with KKO, we covered about 40km and saw barely any of the 20,000 people that visit daily.  Two more days being chauffeured around looking at the site and we still hadn't seen everything!  Photos of some highlights:
